Floating Ghost Tassels
These minimalist, modern floating ghost tassels are an incredibly easy and stylish way to decorate your home for Halloween. To make them, you will need a skein of white yarn, a few wooden beads, a black marker, and some twine. Wrap the white yarn around a piece of cardboard about twenty times to create a thick bundle. Slip a piece of twine through the top loop of the yarn and tie it tightly; this will be the hanging string. Slide a wooden bead onto the twine so it sits directly on top of the yarn bundle.
Cut the bottom loops of the yarn to create a tassel, then tie another piece of yarn around the upper section of the bundle to form the “head” of the ghost. Use a fine-point black marker to draw two small eyes onto the wooden bead or directly onto the yarn head. Hang these delicate little ghosts in groups from a natural branch suspended over your dining table, or string them together to create a beautiful, bohemian-style ghost garland for your fireplace mantel.
