Jack-O’-Lantern Topiary
Make a bold statement at your front entryway with a towering Jack-O’-Lantern topiary. For this project, you will need three plastic pumpkin candy buckets of varying sizes from the dollar store, a sturdy wooden dowel or broom handle, a large plastic planter pot, and some expanding foam or heavy stones. Cut a hole in the bottom of each plastic pumpkin that is just large enough for the dowel to pass through. Fill the bottom planter pot with stones or wet concrete to weigh it down, and insert the dowel vertically into the center.
Thread the plastic pumpkins onto the dowel, stacking them from largest at the bottom to smallest at the top. You can angle them slightly in different directions to give the topiary a playful, whimsical character. Fill the gaps inside the pumpkins with expanding foam to lock them into place. Paint the pumpkins in a uniform color like matte black, metallic copper, or classic orange, and use a black marker to define their spooky faces. Wrap faux autumn garland or orange fairy lights around the dowel between the pumpkins to create a stunning, glowing outdoor display.
