Glow-in-the-Dark Ghost Lanterns
Light up your walkway or front porch with these adorable and easy-to-make glow-in-the-dark ghost lanterns. Pick up several translucent white plastic gallon jugs or white plastic storage bins from the dollar store. Using a thick black permanent marker, draw different expressive, spooky, or silly ghost faces on the front of each container. Cut a small hole in the back or bottom of each jug so you can easily insert a light source.
Instead of traditional candles, use green, blue, or purple glow sticks, or battery-operated fairy lights to illuminate the ghosts. When the lights go out, the white plastic diffuses the colorful light, making the ghost faces stand out beautifully while casting a soft, eerie glow on the surrounding area. This is a fantastic, child-friendly project that takes less than ten minutes to assemble but makes a massive visual impact when lined up along a driveway or staircase on Halloween night.
