19. Pressed Wildflower Resin Coasters
Capture the essence of spring forever with crystal-clear resin coasters embedded with delicate pressed wildflowers and shimmering gold leaf flakes. Epoxy resin acts like liquid glass, sealing organic materials inside a durable, heat-resistant disk that protects your furniture while serving as tiny works of art. Clear silicone coaster molds are ideal for this project.
Mix two-part clear epoxy resin thoroughly according to package instructions, taking care to stir slowly to minimize air bubbles. Pour a thin foundation layer of clear resin into the bottom of your silicone molds and let it set slightly until tacky. Arrange fully dried pressed flowers, ferns, and gold leaf flakes upside down onto the sticky layer using fine tweezers. Once your floral design is set, pour a second layer of clear resin over top until the mold is filled to the brim. Use a heat gun or small alcohol torch lightly over the surface to pop any micro-bubbles that float to the top. Allow the coasters to cure undisturbed for 24 to 48 hours before popping them out of the silicone molds.
