7. Shadow Silhouette Window Panels

7

Transform your bedroom windows into a dramatic street-facing Halloween display with shadow silhouette panels. During the day, these black cardstock cutouts blend into your room’s interior, but at night, when your bedroom lights are turned on, they project terrifying, crisp shadows of monsters, witches, or giant spiders for the entire neighborhood to see.

Measure your window panes and cut large sheets of black poster board or heavy cardstock to fit the exact dimensions. Sketch out spooky silhouettes—such as a clawing hand, a swarm of bats, a sinister tree, or a Victorian figure—and carefully cut them out using a utility knife. Tape these panels directly to your window glass using easily removable painter’s tape. For the best nighttime effect, place a lamp with a bright orange or purple bulb behind the silhouette to cast an ominous, vibrant glow through the window.
