20. Gothic Lace Pumpkin Lanterns
For an elegant, dark-boho alternative to traditional pumpkin carving, try making gothic lace pumpkin lanterns. This craft uses real or faux white pumpkins wrapped in intricate black lace patterns. When lit from within or placed near ambient lighting, the lace casts beautiful, complex, and moody shadows across your room, offering a sophisticated take on Halloween lighting.
Select a few faux white craft pumpkins. Cut strips of wide, stretchy black lace fabric or lace ribbons. Wrap the lace tightly around the pumpkin, securing it along the seams and near the stem using clear decoupage glue (like Mod Podge) or fabric glue. Smooth out any wrinkles so the lace hugs the curves of the pumpkin perfectly. If using hollow faux pumpkins, cut a hole in the bottom and place an LED candle inside, allowing the light to filter through the lace cutouts for a gorgeous, glowing lace pattern.
