Puffy Paint and Marble Painted Webs
Marble painting is a classic process-art activity that kids absolutely adore because of its unpredictable, dynamic results. To adapt this for Halloween, place a circular piece of black construction paper inside a shallow cardboard box or a baking tin. Squeeze a few dollops of white washable paint or white puffy paint onto different areas of the paper. Drop two or three marbles into the box, and let your child gently tilt and roll the box from side to side. As the marbles roll through the paint, they drag it across the black paper, leaving behind a chaotic, beautiful network of intersecting white lines that look remarkably like a wild, windswept spider web. This activity is highly engaging, excellent for gross motor control, and guarantees that every single piece of art created is entirely unique. Once dry, you can cut out the circles and mount them on bright orange cardstock for a stunning contrast.
