Stained Glass Tissue Paper Webs
Recreate the beauty of historic stained glass windows with this simple, kid-friendly contact paper craft. Start by cutting out a bold spider web frame from black cardstock, ensuring the lines are thick enough to hold their shape. Place a sheet of clear contact paper sticky-side-up on the table, and secure the black cardstock frame onto it. Have your children tear or cut small squares of colorful tissue paper—using classic Halloween colors like orange, purple, yellow, and green. Let them stick the tissue paper pieces inside the open spaces of the web frame, overlapping them slightly to create beautiful new color blends. Once the empty spaces are completely filled, place another sheet of clear contact paper over the top to seal it. Cut out the web, and tape it to a sunny window. The sunlight shining through the colored tissue paper creates a breathtaking, glowing stained-glass effect.
