Mason Jar Luminary Webs
Light up the dark autumn nights with these cozy and spooky mason jar luminaries. To create these, you will need clean glass mason jars, white tissue paper, Mod Podge, and a paintbrush. First, have your children cut out small spider web designs from black construction paper, or use black spider stickers. Glue the black webs directly onto the outside of the glass jar. Next, paint a layer of Mod Podge over the entire jar and wrap it in a layer of white tissue paper, smoothing out any large wrinkles but leaving some texture for a rustic look. Apply another sealing coat of Mod Podge over the tissue paper. Once dry, place a battery-operated LED tea light candle inside the jar. The soft light will glow through the tissue paper, casting a dramatic, spooky silhouette of the spider web onto the surrounding walls.
