Collect several freshly fallen leaves of various shapes and sizes, ensuring they are not too dry or brittle. Tape the leaves vein-side up onto a table, and place a sheet of thin white paper over them. Secure the paper with tape so it does not slide. Peel the paper wrapping off several fall-colored crayons. Show your toddler how to hold the crayon flat on its side and rub it back and forth across the paper over the leaves. Watch their eyes light up as the intricate leaf veins appear on the page.
