Gothic Cemetery Gates
Establish a grand and intimidating entrance to your haunted property by crafting a set of imposing, gothic cemetery gates. Construct these gates using lightweight PVC pipes painted with a textured matte black paint to mimic heavy, aged wrought iron. You can create intricate scrollwork and pointed picket tops using molded foam or plastic fence toppers. Mount the gates onto two large pillars made of cardboard boxes painted to look like ancient, cracked stone blocks covered in climbing ivy and faux moss.
Hang a weathered, hand-painted sign across the top reading “Cemetery” or “Enter If You Dare” in a cracked, gothic font. Chain the gates slightly ajar with a plastic, rusted chain, allowing just enough space for visitors to peek through. Flank the entrance with low-lying fog and glowing skull lanterns to create an atmosphere of anticipation and dread, setting the perfect stage for the rest of your outdoor decorations.
