Glowing Eyes in the Hedges

20

Add a subtle, unsettling touch to your garden landscaping by making your bushes and hedges appear to be filled with hidden, watching creatures. This incredibly simple and fun DIY craft uses cardboard toilet paper rolls. Cut out various shapes of scary, glowing eyes (slits, round pupils, monster eyes) into the cardboard tubes. Place a glowing, waterproof LED glow stick or a battery-operated fairy light string inside each tube.

Tuck these tubes deep into your hedges, bushes, and low-hanging tree foliage. During the day, they remain completely hidden, but at night, the glowing eyes peer out from the darkness, giving the impression that your garden is teeming with hidden monsters. This low-cost, high-impact project is perfect for adding depth and a sense of being watched to your overall outdoor Halloween experience.
