9. Paper Bag Witch Puppets
Bring storytime to life with these classic, whimsical paper bag witch puppets. This craft is highly interactive, encouraging children to engage in dramatic play, storytelling, and puppet shows once their wicked or friendly witch characters are completed.
Using a standard brown or white paper lunch bag, paint the bottom flap (which will be the face) a bright witchy green. Paint the lower body section black or purple for her dress. Cut out a pointed witch’s hat from black cardstock and glue it to the top of the flap. Use orange or purple yarn to create wild, messy hair spilling out from under the hat. Kids can draw a crooked nose, a toothy grin, and add a mini broomstick made from a twig and a scrap of raffia glued to the side of the bag.
