Egg Carton Black Bats
Give egg cartons a second life by turning them into a colony of hanging bats. Cut a cardboard egg carton into sections of three cups. Trim the bottom edges of the outer two cups to look like scalloped bat wings, leaving the center cup to serve as the bat’s head and body. Paint the entire piece with black acrylic paint. Once dry, glue on two googly eyes and draw a tiny, fanged smile with a white gel pen or silver marker. Punch a small hole in the top of the center cup, thread a piece of black yarn through, and hang them from tree branches or light fixtures for a spooky fluttering effect.
