Glowing Mason Jar Mummies
Bring a warm, eerie glow to your front porch or windowsill with these charming mason jar mummies. This craft is wonderfully tactile and highly satisfying for kids of all ages. Start with a clean, empty glass jar. Apply a generous layer of school glue or Mod Podge all over the outside of the jar. Have your kids wrap strips of white gauze bandage or tissue paper around the jar, overlapping the layers to create that classic wrapped mummy look. Leave a small gap for two large, goofy googly eyes to peek through. Once the glue dries, place a battery-operated LED tea light inside, and watch as the mummy comes to life with a soft, flickering autumn glow.
