Painted Pumpkin Seed Mosaic Art

4

After carving your family pumpkins, don’t throw away the seeds! They make the perfect medium for a colorful, textured mosaic art project. First, wash and thoroughly dry the seeds. Place them in small plastic bags with a few drops of acrylic paint or food coloring, shake well, and spread them out to dry on parchment paper. Once you have a vibrant spectrum of autumn colors, draw simple Halloween shapes like witches’ hats, black cats, or candy corn onto sturdy cardstock. Kids can then glue the colorful seeds inside the lines, creating a beautiful, textured mosaic that celebrates the bounty of the season.
