10. The Mountain Rink

Altitude makes everything better. I carved a flat rink into the side of a snowy mountain, with a stone wall on one side and a drop on the other — fenced, obviously, I’m not a monster. The view from up there is unreal: you can see the whole valley, the river, and your base down below. A little stone shelter with a fireplace sits at one end, and a lantern-lit staircase winds down the mountain. Skating up in the clouds, with the wind and the snow, feels like a completely different game.
