2. An Aurora Viewing Deck
Not every observatory needs walls. Mine started as a flat wooden deck on stilts, and it turned into my favourite spot in the whole world. I laid down dark oak planks, added fences along the edges, and hung lanterns from posts so the deck glows without ruining the view. Green and lime stained glass strips along the railing catch the lantern light and throw a soft aurora colour across the floor.
