9. Snow Brick Sleeping Loft

9. Snow Brick Sleeping Loft

Snow bricks don’t melt in sunlight, which still feels like cheating, and they come in slabs, stairs, and walls now. I built a loft above my main room — snow brick walls, a bed, a chest, and a tiny window cut into the ice so I can see the crystals from bed. It’s cold-looking, sure, but add a lantern, some spruce wood, and a carpet and it turns cosy fast. The trick is contrast. All white looks flat. White, wood, and one warm light looks like a home.
