8. An Ice Crystal Garden You Don’t Touch
Ice crystals glow, they hum a little with the new ambient sounds, and they’re fragile in the way that makes you want to protect them. So I fenced off the best cluster I found, put packed ice slabs as a path around it, and added a sign that just says “look, don’t mine.” My friends think I’m ridiculous. Then they visit, see the crystals at night, and go quiet. Keep the garden away from your main walkway, or you’ll break one at 2 a.m. and regret it for a week.
