5. Witch’s Broomstick Party Favors
Add a touch of magic to your Halloween gatherings with these enchanting miniature witch’s broomsticks made from yarn and natural twigs. Gather small, sturdy twigs from your backyard to serve as the broom handles. For the brush of the broom, wrap textured brown, mustard, or black yarn around a piece of cardboard several times. Cut the loops at one end, and place the twig inside the bundle of yarn at the uncut end. Wrap another piece of contrasting yarn or metallic embroidery floss tightly around the yarn bundle, about an inch below the top of the twig, securing the yarn fibers to the wood. Trim the bottom of the yarn so it is neat and even. These whimsical broomsticks make excellent place card holders for a Halloween dinner party, or you can scent them with cinnamon essential oil to act as festive air fresheners.
