18. Candy-Colored Yarn Frankenstein
Who says Halloween has to be all dark and gloomy? Bring some bright, candy-colored joy to your decorations with a friendly yarn-wrapped Frankenstein. Cut a classic Frankenstein head shape out of cardboard, complete with his signature flat top and neck bolts. Wrap the main face area in bright lime green yarn, the hair in jet black yarn, and the neck bolts in metallic grey yarn. Use felt scraps to create his sleepy eyes, a stitched mouth, and a couple of scars. This project is highly tactile and a wonderful way for kids to develop their fine motor skills. Hang this cheerful monster on a bedroom door or display him on a shelf to add a whimsical touch to your holiday decor.
