10. Autumn Red Maple Junction

10

Celebrate the rich colors of fall with the Autumn Red Maple Junction. Positioned in a custom-built autumn biome, this station relies on red, orange, and yellow wool, terracotta, and mangrove wood to mirror the vibrant foliage of Japanese maple trees (Momiji). The station platform features a traditional wooden canopy draped in red and orange leaf blocks, casting warm, dappled light on the polished granite and brick walkway below.

To heighten the immersion, build a small traditional tea house adjacent to the platform. Use birch trapdoors as shoji screens, black carpets over light sources for ambient flooring, and composters filled with azalea leaves to represent Bonsai trees. Scattered leaf blocks made from mangrove leaves and red carpet on the floor mimic fallen autumn foliage along the tracks. This junction is best used as a scenic transfer point where multiple rail lines converge in a picturesque landscape.
