3. Layering Textures
Yellow can look flat if everything is made of the same material. Because it is a color associated with sunshine, it needs texture to break it up. Think about mixing a smooth silk pillowcase with a chunky cable-knit throw. The shadows created by the texture of the knit add depth to the color, making it look much more high-end and intentional.
