6. Spire of the Frostbound Glacier Cliffs
Erected on the edge of frozen ocean biomes where massive icebergs gouge into jagged, snow-capped stone crags, the Frostbound Spire is a marvel of cold-climate architecture. Built using packed ice, blue ice, diorite, and snow blocks, the tower appears almost organic—as if carved directly from a ancient mountain glacier by arctic winds. Light blue stained glass and spruce wood supports frame the ice-block walls, providing thermal warmth and visual texture that prevents the structure from blending entirely into the snowy background. Icicles made from pointed dripstone hang dramatically from every overhang and window ledge.
Because traditional open fires would melt the structural blue ice, the light source is powered entirely by sea lanterns and end rods integrated into an intricate quartz lantern housing. This casts a cool, ethereal luminescence across the frozen ocean, highlighting treacherous floating ice hazard zones for passing sailors. The base of the cliff features a heated, cozy spruce lodge built directly into the rock face, equipped with a smoking chimney, fur-trimmed beds (using grey carpet overlays), and a fully stocked fish house featuring direct access through an ice-hole beneath the cabin floor.
