19. Pirate Haven Rock-Cut Lighthouse
Built directly *into* the hollowed-out interior of a massive, jagged sea stack cliff, this hidden pirate lighthouse disguises its true nature from unsuspecting trade ships. From the outside, the rocky cliff face looks largely natural, save for a few reinforced iron-grated windows, hanging rope ladders, and a crude wooden lantern structure constructed from dark oak fence posts, barrels, and campfires perched atop the highest peak.
The true magic of this design lies within: the entire heart of the rock cliff is hollowed out into a multi-level lawless haven. The light room at the top uses an adjustable wooden shutter system (controlled by trapdoors and pistons) allowing pirates to instantly blackout the light or flash deceptive light signals to lure ships onto treacherous nearby rocks. Below the light station, suspended bridges cross internal caverns leading to hidden treasure vaults, a rowdy tavern, and a secret underwater sea-cave tunnel wide enough to launch secret raiding boats directly into open water.
