10. Spooky Silhouette Window Art

10

Turn your home into a neighborhood attraction by creating large-scale, spooky silhouette window displays with your friends. Using large rolls of black butcher paper or poster board, you can sketch and cut out life-sized silhouettes of classic Halloween figures—think creeping cats, flying witches, reaching zombie hands, or Victorian ghosts. This is a fantastic group project, as you can collaborate on a continuous, storytelling scene that spans across multiple windows of your house.

Once the silhouettes are taped to the inside of your windows, cover the remaining glass with orange, purple, or yellow tissue paper. When night falls and you turn on your indoor lights, your windows will glow brightly, casting sharp, dramatic, and terrifyingly fun silhouettes outward for the entire street to see. It is a high-impact, low-cost craft that brings immense festive cheer to your home’s exterior.
